Missionary Biographies

Tom & Janice Kelly

Thomas and Janice Kelly serve as missionaries to Mexico. They were called for missionary service at the Covenant Annual Meeting in 1985. Prior to this, they served as short-term missionaries with the Evangelical Covenant to Mexico from 1982-1985. The Kellys involved in various ministries which include: working with groups in theological and leadership training and discipleship, counseling established local churches, and serving as a member of Mexico's Covenant Publications Commission. Tom also was in charge of the orientation of new career missionaries; expanding areas of work, helping to set up a new mission station in Puebla; working with the national church leaders to obtain migratory status for the career missionaries; as well as planning and preparation for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Covenant in Mexico in March of 1996. Tom also served as the primary missionary advisor to the Covenant churches in the southern state of Oaxaca.

Eugenio & Pia Restrepo

The Restrepos work in Spain in the areas of church growth, discipleship and grassroots leadership training.  Their involvement over the last 8 years has included developing Sunday school classes, coaching a basketball team, teaching leadership training and Bible courses for pastors and leaders in Christian counseling, learning styles, parenting, and Bible hermeneutics.  a prayer group ministry and Bible studies have begun.  The Restrepo children attend a nearby Spanish school, and are involved in sports activities and the church worship team

Andy & Carol Larsen

The Larsen's are Project Missionaries and work with The Mosaics Project.  They formerly worked in Mexico in the areas of evangelism and church planting, and now prepare to work in Europe reaching immigrants.  The Larsen's have worked with cell groups, coordinated short-term mission teams, and been involved in outreach and ecumenical ministries.  The Mosaics Project has an emerging team of Covenanters that will connect with marginalized people who do not yet know Christ

Jon & Erin Robertson

Ecuador

The Robertsons were commissioned as career missionaries to Ecuador in 1992, called in the areas of pastoral training and discipleship.  Jon has taught pastoral training classes at the Seminary in Ecuador, as well as theology classes at two evangelical colleges, and New Testament Greek to Wycliffe missionaries.  Erin is a speech therapist in a school serving Ecuadorians as well as missionaries with students ages 13 to 17.  Following studies in England, they have resumed teaching responsibilities in a broader setting, working with evangelicals from several denominations to train students.
