Matrix-- “something
within or from which something else originates, develops, or
takes form.”…

9 am – 4 pm
We look forward to seeing you at Leadership Matrix at River
Ridge Covenant Church in Olympia at 9 am!
Due to
circumstances beyond our control, Sherwood Carthen will not be
able to be with us on Saturday.
Mark Novak, NPC
Superintendent will be bringing the morning session keynote
message on Leadership in the 21st Century. This is timely, as
Mark anticipates a new term as NPC Superintendent and recently
spent time during a short sabbatical to discern and form vision
for this next term as Superintendent. Come and hear Mark’s heart
for mission in Covenant churches in the North Pacific
Conference!
Pat
Renfro will be leading the morning workshop previously scheduled
to be led by Rev. Carthen. Her workshop is titled The Five
Pearls of Leadership: Spiritual Development | Unity of the Team
| Vision & Mission | Leadership Characteristics | Shepherding
the Saints (replacing “Leadership in the 21st Century.” The
content of the new seminar is similar, but with Pat’s expertise
and perspective.)
Pat is President of People to People
Consulting. She has been leading, assessing, coaching and
showing others how to effectively lead their organizations for
over ten years. Prior to People to People Consulting, her
affiliation with the largest aerospace company in the world
afforded her experiences that span organizational boundaries to
effect change for greater productivity. She has been a member of
Emerald City Bible Fellowship since 1999 and has worked with
Pastor Harvey Drake as Leadership Administrator since 2004. She
currently serves on the NPC Executive Board. Pat earned her MS
degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.
For Pat, being part of the NPC Executive Board means having the
opportunity to contribute to strengthening churches in the North
Pacific Conference through prayer, good decision making, and
church support, while supporting the NPC staff.
A native of
Kansas City, MO, Pat relocated to Seattle, WA in 1992 from
Atlanta, GA. She and her husband live near downtown Seattle.
Pat’s belief is that Leadership Development is core to the
success of any organization – same page leadership is the name
of the game.
Plan to experience a rich and rewarding day
together on Saturday at Leadership Matrix via our speakers,
leaders, and the benefits of our congregations coming together
to share in fellowship and networking.
Registration: $35 per person OR $30 per person for a group
of four or more people coming from one congregation and
registering together.

Do you long for your church to be
salt and light in your community? To be the light that points
your neighbors to the sweet aroma of Jesus Christ? To have that
kind of ministry and mission in our world, we need healthy and
strong churches. Leadership Matrix is designed to give your
pastors and lay leaders some new and fresh tools that will bring
growth and vitality to your congregation. A matrix is “something
within or from which something else originates, develops, or
takes form.” Mission and ministry in our communities will emerge
from our churches out of a place of spiritual renewal and
vitality. It is essential that we tend and cultivate our own
spiritual health and worship in order to be a powerful witness
of Christ in our communities
Keynote
speaker:
Rev. Peter Sung -
ECC Director of Church Planting, recently appointed to

Yet, engaging with Jesus Christ in His mission in the world
takes more than the "click of a computer mouse". This workshop
is designed to broaden understanding of how the ECC is committed
to building the Kingdom around the globe and how churches may
prepare and participate in ongoing ministries. Karen is Director
of Mission Mobilization and Connection.
