ADULT MINISTRIES
NPC Women Ministries
awarded a $500
Faith and Action Grant
to the "Healing the Hurts" ministry at Eastridge Covenant
Church (Clackamas, Ore.). According to Nancy Walter,
Project Coordinator, this new ministry rises in response
to a needs survey and provides quarterly events for women
to address root problems of loneliness, depression, and
anxiety. The women will study "Overcoming" by Bill Hybels,
and hope to see women come to know Christ as their Savior,
grow spiritually and identify their call, and take up
their place of ministry for which God has designed them.
For a Faith and Action Grant application, see
www.npc-cwm.org.
The NPC Women’s Retreat ,
held in September at Cascades Camp, hosted 315
enthusiastic women. They overwhelmingly responded to
speaker Rev. Aleese Moore-Orbih's message of Christ's
personal love for women who have experienced abuse in
their lives. Aleese's seminars, "Don’t Let Fear Ruin
Your Life" and "Don't Waste Your Pain" were well received
and it was clear that this ministry was timely and needed.
Watch for an upcoming article on this event on
